At Artemis OB/GYN, our midwife and our doctor work together in an integrated practice.

This means that if a pregnancy becomes high-risk or complications arise, the woman will not have to abandon her midwife and transfer to a different office. She can continue to see her midwife for ongoing support and an obstetrician or perinatologist for management of the complications in the same practice. Working together provides women with the best of both worlds.

Nicola Pemberton, MD

A native New Yorker, graduated with a Biology degree from the University of Miami, and then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine where she lived for two years in the West Indies. During her third year of medical school, she did her clinical rotations in England, which included a neuroscience selective in the Czech Republic. After graduation, she completed her OB/GYN residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Now, she returns to New Jersey, where she resides with her husband and three children.
