Larisa's journey began in the Dominican Republic, where she witnessed firsthand the challenges of limited healthcare access and health literacy in her community. This early exposure ignited her passion to pursue a career dedicated to making a tangible difference in women's health.
Starting as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in 2010, Larisa's commitment to providing empathetic, equitable care led her to advance her education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and later achieved a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in midwifery and women's health from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.
Throughout her educational and professional journey, Larisa remained steadfast in her mission to address healthcare disparities and enhance access for all women. Her work as a women's health nurse reinforced her belief in the importance of respectful, compassionate care, further motivating her to champion women's and maternal healthcare.
